Benefits

Salary
Medcenter One Living Centers maintains competitive salaries and shift differential for working evenings or nights. Holiday pay of time and a half for the seven designated holidays worked.

Paid Time Off (PTO)
Combination of vacation, holiday and short-term sick leave. Associates begin accruing PTO upon employment. Associates are eligible to use PTO after four months of employment.

Associates working part-time will accrue PTO on a pro-rated basis.

Extended Sick Time (EST)
Full-time associates earn nine days a year; pro-rated for part-time, cumulative to 120 days (960 hours).

Flexible Spending Accounts
Available to pay healthcare and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis.

Health Insurance
Health insurance is available to associates who work a minimum of 20 hours/week. Health insurance premiums are paid on a pre-tax basis and are available after 30 days of employment.

Dental Insurance
Voluntary dental insurance is available to associates who work a minimum of 20 hours/week. Dental insurance premiums are paid on a pre-taxis basis and are available after 30 days of employment.

Vision Insurance
Voluntary vision insurance is available to associates who work a minimum of 20 hours/week. Vision insurance premiums are paid on a pre-tax basis and are available after 30 days of employment.

Life Insurance
Life insurance is provided by Medcenter One Living Centers in the amount of two times base annual earnings for associates who work 20 hours/week or more. Additional life insurance is available for purchase for self, spouse and dependents.

Retirement Plan
Medcenter One Living Centers contributes four percent to a self-directed retirement plan upon eligibility.

403(b) Retirement Program
A pre-tax retirement savings plan is available upon eligibility.

Supplemental Insurances
Payroll deductions are available for accident, short-term disability, cancer insurance and a variety of others.

Wellness Program
A variety of wellness programs including reduced rates at the YMCA, Mandan Community Center, Medcenter One Women’s Health Center and the Medcenter One Bone, Spine, and Sport gym.

Staff ratios

Federal law requires all nursing homes to provide enough staff to adequately care for residents. However, there is no current federal standard for the best nursing home staffing levels. The nursing home must have at least one registered nurse for at least eight straight hours a day, seven days a week, and either a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse/licensed vocational nurse on duty 24 hours per day.

Having a high staff ratio at our living centers is very important to us.
